So I dug down into the tub of cut out stuff and grabbed the bundle of baby buntings I had cut out and I am going to finish those before I cut anything else out to sew. This one is finished except the handwork, but that won't take long.
This came yesterday, I intend to put my feet up and have a cup of coffee and enjoy it, in between showing David how to warp his inkle loom.
a small loom designed to handweave narrow bands or scarves. It is new to both of use but hand weaving isn't so I don't expect it to be too difficult, especially since there are several good videos of it on Youtube. Of course, David doesn't think like most people, so I will have to translate it into his Swedish-Norwegian left handed mind set.
1st assistant Happy came around and sat on the still covered sewing machine that I am not using right now because 2nd assistant Waddles was on the quilting table,
and they aren't cozy enough yet too share space, she would have liked her old spot but he wasn't budging and I am going to let them settle it themselves. Waddles is darker and his markings are more defined than are hers, she is just showing darker against the light from the window. It would have been nice to have some variety, but we were chosen rather than choose ourselves since both were drop off strays that decided to live with us. Nice kitties though, some people really missed out on some special pets.
I'd better go help David, him getting frustrated I don't need, and I want him to enjoy the weaving. and he won't if he's frustrated. I won't enjoy him weaving if he gets frustrated either. Patient he is not, although he does try, and as long as he is trying that's pretty good, so I shouldn't complain. Also I here by the thunder upstairs the little boys are home, and the afternoon has begun.
