Here I am several weeks on since I have last posted. I don't know where the time goes, but I have been concentrating on getting my Dear Jane blocks done and haven't taken much time for anything else except the really necessary things. That is between Dear Jane and moving my things back into the now finished other side of the basement. I am not weaving yet, but it's getting close. Another van load of stuff went to Goodwill this morning!

All of the above blocks are the remaining border blocks, all the border blocks are done. They were the most fun except maybe the corner blocks.

These are the corner, kite-shaped blocks.

This one has 74 pieces, and although time-consuming was not difficult; really rather fun.

I thought this one was going to be the hardest but it was fairly straight-forward.
 K-9 Scout's Honor
 K-8 Springbrook Park
 K-6 Ann's Folly
 K-5 Passing Through

 K-3 Seven Sisters
 K-2 Grandpa's Chickens
 K-7 Rose of Sharing
J-10 Chicko's Calla Lily, to day this one has been the hardest, very hard to get to lie flat but I learned a lot from doing it.
 J-12 Rebecca's Basket
 J-9 Maury High School
 J-11 Twin Sister
 J-8 Anna's Anchor
 J-3 Rick's Volley Ball Net
 J-5 John Jacob's Windmill
J-4 Adelaine's Apron Strings.

Now I have a sneaking hunch that I may have missed a few in here somewhere, but I am done with rows A-K10 and they are going fast. I did three this morning, I probably could have done another one but I wanted to do some spinning, I have been on the current spin much too long.

To recap: I have all the border blocks done and only 2 rows plus three blocks of the small center blocks done. I am going to try to finish this quilt by the end of April. At least to the top stage, I plan on quilting it in May. I started it the end of last June and it has been hanging about much too long. Of course there weeks at a time when I didn't work on it, but, even so a year is long enough. I am to the point where I am planning what will be next. So 29 blocks to go, yay!

To be truthful I have sort of lost track of where I am on Dear Jane this week and I think I have worked them somewhat out of order. It's been a terrible busy week with doctor's appointments and so on. Then yesterday David went out to chip ice from behind the van and started having chest pains, so I spent an anxious day keeping and eye on him. He is very stubborn about going to the doctor and I hovered between calling 911 and taking him to the hospital. They stopped after he had a rest but I spent the afternoon at my class with Ambrosina keeping an eye on him. Then last night about midnight he started having heartburn so I spent several hours keeping an eye on him, but it turned out to be just that, after several Tums and lots of burping. But it was a worry so I didn't sleep well and then slept late and didn't get much done this morning.

And then, of course, there is the adjustment into daylight savings time that is always so tiring. That always takes at least a week.

So anyway I've been spinning my wheels this week and not getting much done.

 I-11 Coyote Chase
 Bottom Row, 7th from left.
I-12 Fred's Fair Square
  Josepha's Jonquil J-1
 J-2 Picture Perfect
Bottom Row, 10th from left.

These are all that I have been able to accomplish in the last few days and I don't feel like I am making much headway towards my goal of finishing all the blocks by June. For some reason I got them out of order and started working row J before I finished row I so I will have to go back a page and finish row I.

Of, course I have put massive amounts of stuff away, or rather I have gone through massive amounts of things and given them to Goodwill. Most of it was things I planned to work on and never got around to doing and now I don't suppose that I will so I boxed it up. There's been one van load gone already and another ready to go. I am down to the tsunami of stuff that got piled in the hallway outside my bedroom, all the tubs are emptied and there were a couple of dozen of them. There just isn't the room so it all had to go, sigh. Getting there.

Tomorrow I hope to get a good morning's sewing in. We are supposed to get a blizzard this afternoon. It poured rain yesterday, water was bubbling up from the cracks in the road and all this rivers are flooding.

But...David got the car out of the driveway today and took it for a test run. The temperature stayed down and there was no problem. I have wheels again. Yippie!

These I finished yesterday, I started early (early for me that is) about 8:30 am and had a very productive morning.

I-6 Viewer's Choice

I-7 Mac and Muff

I-8 Pete's Paint Box
Today I didn't work as long. I got up later and did only these two.

I-9 Chase A Myth. I don't know who chose the names for these blocks but some of them seem a little odd to me.

It has been snowing like crazy all morning and still going on in the afternoon. David got the car usable but we aren't going anywhere. The snow is wet and slushy and when it freezes tonight the roads will be terrible.

The good news is that all the inspections on the remodel down here have been closed and we are done! The washer has been repaired and hooked up, but they can't find the dryer vent hose so it is not ready to be used yet. There is only one more big piece of furniture to be brought in but it can't be moved in until the dryer is hooked up and ready to go so I am waiting on that. There are piles of things everywhere that go on the shelves that I can't put away until they are brought in. It could be worse. I have run out of boxes to put the Goodwill stuff in so I am waiting until someone else empties some boxes so I can have those. It's getting there. When I get done I think I will throw a party!

 This was done Tuesday.

I-1 Ralph & Nelda's Wedding. (I don't know who Ralph and Nelda are)

Tuesday I only got one done because Ambrosina and I met a group of friends at Olive Garden. We had a wonderful time and I so enjoyed my soup and salad!

Yesterday I did these two, and I could have done more but I came downstairs and went through about a dozen smaller tubs, I emptied quite a few and sent two big boxes upstairs to go to Goodwill.

I-2 Day's Courtyard, I love this fabric, I only could afford a half a yard and I am going to use it wisely.
Today's blocks
Bottom of the right border, I now have the blocks for two borders done, that's half way on those!
I-3 Family Album I love this fabric too and only had a small strip that Ambrosina gave me.
Bottom Row, 2nd from left.
 I-4 Stability.

Bottom row 1st from left.

I made up for yesterday's lost time. My back was bothering me from yesterday so I didn't do a lot down here. This afternoon Ambrosina took me to Walmart and I did my months shopping. I am hoping to get more done down here tomorrow. I look out at the stuff still to be brought in I know I will never get it all in, it's got to go!

I did find some fabrics that I planned to make clothes out of that I had forgotten about. New clothes as soon as I finish Dear Jane!
