I found a way to load pictures from my camera to the old computer, but it is still hard to see. I'll have to make do, for a while longer because we don't know when we can afford another computer.

I don't have a picture of the latest quilt I have done yet, it's too cold to go out to get a picture right now. Every place around us seems to be getting snow, we have had only one snowfall, and it's gone now; it's cold though, really cold. When I put clean sheets on the bed this week I forgot to put an extra blanket on the bed and we needed it, I know what little task I am going to do next.
This is our pretty boy Waddles posing for me, he has a thing about playing with drinking straws, he steals them and carries them all over the house, very fun to watch. He's very lively and he is keeping Happy on her toes, something she needs since she was putting on weight.
If you look closely you can see a black thread in my coffee. I wound a bobbin on Brunehilde, my Viking, and it came off a little hard, so I put some extra effort into and dropped it straight into the coffee. I couldn't have done it neater if I had planned it. I moved my coffee until I was through winding bobbins.

I'm thinking of writing the story of my life, I've had such a good one, I tend to dwell on the difficulties, but I shouldn't. I've got a wonderful loving family, how blessed I am. How many women have a man who understands that she needs wonderful old sewing machines? Of course, I show how much I understand it when he buys us a new tool.

He is a very happy man now that the doctor has said he can drive again. He had to wait a whole day until he had some place to go, but he got to drive to the meeting last night and came home grinning. I am so glad now I can send him on the errands and I don't have to go out into the cold. Nice.
The is the quilt I basted this morning. Those of you who follow Bonnie Hunter recognize it as her last years Mystery quilt, the name is Alliatierre. I finished the top less than a year ago, maybe only a little less than a year ago, but less than a year ago is pretty good for me. I hadn't yet started my quilt the top as I get it done policy, but even without that less than a year is an achievement. I splurged and bought cotton batting which I love because this is for MY bed. I don't have enough bedding, and with my allergies I have to wash bedding every week, so it is hard to get it washed and back onto the bed some days. It is nice to make something for myself now and then.

After I pieced the back of it I only have one bobbin and little bit over to empty so I will do that in the morning so I can start quilting it; meanwhile back to the postage stamp quilt to empty the bobbins.
I have two full gallon size ziplock bags to sew into the two patches then I will sew them into 4 patches, but I will be on them for a while since I don't work on them very steadily. I don't think there is any need to hurry, they will wait for me. Just like housework does.

I will keep posting pictures as long as  the computer lasts, then I will have to try something else, problems are meant to be solved after all, we stay young if we keep our minds busy right?

And speaking of busy, I need to get busy. Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to load pictures again.
