Ambrosina told me to look at Hobby Lobby for blue polka dotted fabric. It's easy to find blue fabric with white polka dots, or for that matter any color with white polka dots. White fabric with colored dots is something else again. There wasn't any thing there for what I need it for, but I found a lovely green fabric on clearance, and a striped piece in the remnants basket and a gray printed fabric that I got just because I like it.

And they actually look pretty good together.
Although I didn't necessarily get the for one project in particular, I just don't have enough fabric on hand, my mind has sort of gotten started with what I might make with them so I wouldn't be surprised if I don't come up with something to use them all on before I want to start another project. I guess it can't be help, sometimes I just have to start a new project before I've finished another one, but this one so far is just hazy ideas.

Ambrosina got her new car yesterday. I haven't ridden in it yet, but she is pretty excited about it. I don't blame her, we used to get excited about getting a new used car and her's is brand new. I don't think that will ever happen for us, we will never be able to afford a brand new car, and ours is running pretty good for it's age and for what it has gone through, I won't complain about it. The nice thing about our car is the heater is excellent. When I ran errands this morning the heater was warm after only 4 blocks of driving. The air conditioning isn't much good, but we can always open a window in summer. I would rather have the heat in winter. I won't be going anywhere for the next couple of days, we are supposed to get 7 inches of snow and it is cold. The heater here in the basement doesn't get the area very warm but it is better than no heat at all and I can always get under the covers with the heated mattress pad on.

We recieved bad new from our son Matthew in Washington, a dear friend has died, her name is Inez and she was such a sweetheart. I am so glad we got to see her when we were there a year and a half ago. She was such a dear lady; still going strong at 92. I hope I do as well as she did.

Well, it's time to settle down with a cup of hot coffee and some hand work, probably another pair of booties, I want to get my inventory up of colors besides black and red, and I want to work out some more boy patterns, I don't have many and I want plenty of options for people to choose from. Busy is good. I enjoy it. Warm is good, I enjoy that too. A long, lovely, quiet afternoon, until about 3 then we have some noise, it's great!
