I put on a burst of energy and finished this quilt this morning!
 Back and
front. The pattern is Alliaterre by Bonnie Hunter, but the work is my own, and I am pleased with the way it turned out. It is being laundered right now, and tomorrow morning it will go on my bed as I change the sheets. I now have enough bedding so that if I can't get it laundered right away I can still get it made up immediately, a concern since this is a household of 8.

I also go pictures of the Log Cabin Streak of Lightening that I finished last, it's been so cold that I have put off taking pictures but decided to bite the bullet and get it done.

The backs are scrapped pieced, but no particular pattern, and I am not going to do another one in pink for a while. There are only 6 more tops in the tub down here to quilt and I am just going to start with the top one and work my way down through it. The one on top is a row quilt make with leftovers from other quilts, truly a scrap quilt, which is my favorite kind.

I got preoccupied with trying to finish the quilt this afternoon and forgot to watch my lunch, a situation which Waddles my second assistant took advantage of, although there wasn't very much of it left. This is not on the dining room table, I was eating lunch at the sewing machine, and if it's on the sewing machines the cats figure it's fair game. I don't usually eat at the sewing machine, but I really wanted to get this quilt done so it serves me right!

Soon although probably not tomorrow I will start piecing the back for the next one. I haven't done much else for a couple of days except quilt so I need to clean up my sewing corner and finish a couple of small projects before I baste it. I also want to get some cutting done, but probably not until next week. The kids use the table on the weekends for a lot of stuff and there isn't really room for me to work on it.

I hear them upstairs so it must be 3:00, the time sort of sneaked up on me this afternoon, but what I am wondering is there is any more coffee left in the pot?
