I'm starting to get a bit more organized after the last five days of do-nothing while the family was camping. The boys have been pretty wild today, enjoying the prospect of being home all summer ahead of them.
I am making these right now.
They are paper plate holders. I made a couple of dozen for Ambrosina, and Rose, her mother-in-law has always admired them so I am making her some. They are made by wrapping clothesline in fabric strips and coiling it and zig-zagging them together. It uses up a ton of scraps that probably would sit around for a long time until I threw them away, and it is fun, and fast, somethings that are always appreciated.
Ambrosina's quilt is coming along fine; tomorrow should see me at the quarter of the way done mark, and I think it's going to turn out looking really good, although using more thread than I had counted on. It's always amazing to me lately how much more thread costs than it used to. I know the price of everything has gone up, but it seems to me that thread has gone up disproportionately. My goodness, I spelled that word right the first time. Wow!
